Life has gotten pretty crazy yet again and August was jam-packed. Seminary has officially started up for my husband and I am auditing a class with him, which means traveling 4 hours roundtrip every Tuesday for class. I also got a job at a drugstore. It's nothing too glamorous and probably won't last too long either. But it's at least a start. I also spent a week with my daddy at a missions retreat/meeting, went to a family wedding, and spent some time in the city with my husband. It was a good, busy month. But unfortunately with being busy, I had very little desire to sit and read like I had been. So I only read 3 books (Netflix didn't help either). But it happens I suppose. I've decided that I can't force myself to read and write like I had been earlier in the year. Mostly because life is different now and I have more responsibilities as a wife and a homemaker. But at the same time, I also know that I need to read things that will challenge and teach me in ways that pertain specifically to where I am at this point in life. Where I am at as a wife, a homemaker, a missions graduate, a youth minister's wife and a Christian. And so I have started to once again focus my reading on ministry books. Taking a bit of a break from the classics and the fun, light reads in an effort to retain what I learned in college, learn more and grow in various ways. It's been good so far. I have already finished one book and just started another a few hours ago. I won't have as much time to read now with working, but I will still get to have the relaxing, quiet time to myself when I am intentional with my time. So... if I don't write much in the next few weeks or months that is why. I will check in every now and then and leave little updates. But I won't be reviewing or dialoging with myself in regards to what I am reading here. That will be done in my hand-written journals that only I see. So... until next time... See ya later!
